Comparative Genomics and Evolution (Reference genomes)
Working group co-chairs:
Arthur Georges (University of Canberra) and Renee Catullo (University of Western Australia)
By sequencing reference genomes (and transcriptomes as needed), this working group will:
- enable new insights into evolution by generating representative amphibian and reptile genomes from a broader phylogenetic range than previously available
- provide high resolution genome-scale resources for threatened amphibian and reptile species
AusARG is currently contributing to reference genome projects for the species below – follow the links to learn more about each project. Further species will be added over the course of the initiative. If you are interested in getting involved and/or would like to champion additional species, please contact us.
